Slatted Orchid Baskets

Slatted Orchid Baskets are specifically designed for growing a wide range of orchids. Slatted baskets provide orchids with the drainage and air flow required for optimum growth.

Most epiphytic orchids, orchids that in nature would normally grow in trees are well suited to growing in slatted baskets.

Vandaceous orchids are one of the species that benefit from being planted in a slatted orchid basket. Many growers choose slatted teak baskets, they are efficient, long lasting and rot resistant and provide the drainage and air flow to promote growth. Plastic or PVC slotted orchid baskets are a cheaper alternative and will do the job, without looking as good. Slotted clay pots or baskets are also available from some suppliers.
