A native Australia Cycad that is slowly making a name for itself as a landscaping plant Macrozamia communis is also known as the ‘Burrawang’.
Large fern like fronds that can reach 1.5m in length it grows well in poor soils. This is not always a trunk forming plant although a large woody caudex will develop underground and at the base. In some soils a trunk will form.
Macrozamia commumis will form large seed cones to nearly .5m in length, these make a fascinating display in the garden.
Best grown if light dappled shade in a well drained soil. Macrozamia commumis is found in its natural habitat from Northern NSW to the mid South Coast.

Well suited for use as a feature plant in a shaded area of the garden. Useful for in coastal gardens and it is can be grown in containers in commercial landscaping projects,
