With attractive pink flowers and glossy green foliage, Dianthera nodosa ‘Pretty in Pink’ (syn justicia brasiliana) is a long flowering shrub suited to garden and container.
Previously known as Justicia brasiliana, this is a plant that is best in warmer climates and also best suited to part shade or good filtered light.
The flowers themselves are of a tubular shape with distinct fan shaped flowers.
We have listed this as a tropical plant, however it will grow well in temperate climates as long as it is in a frost free position with protection from cold winds. It is well suited to Sydney and further north.
Be aware, some ambiguity seems to exist about the name of this plant, however the Growing Friends at the botanical gardens in Sydney have listed it as Dianthera nodosa syn. Justicia brasiliana. Also referred to as Lady in Pink.
