Anigozanthos, Plant Profile and Landscaping Uses
Anigozanthos or ‘Kangaroo Paws’ are a flowering evergreen Australian Native plant well suited to landscape plantings as well as ornamental uses.
Orange, Yellow and Red forms available. Anigozanthos or ‘Kangaroo Paws’ require some water in spring for best flowering results.

Once established, Kangaroo Paws are a tough and hardy landscaping plant with a number of uses. As features in a native or dry garden, for mass planting in broader landscapes, as well as for container growing.
Low maintenance and with striking flowers over long periods of time, the green foliage can look good year round.
Care and Maintenance
On planting watering will be required until established, up to 3-4 months especially during summer or dry periods.
Mulch around plants to assist with weed control and in keeping the root systems cool and moist. When planting ensure that contractors keep the crown at soil level, never below.
Kangaroo paws grow well in raised garden beds or areas that have been hilled up, this improves drainage.
Fertilizer applies once a year needs to be a low phosphorus type.
Varieties
Both dwarf and full sizes plants are available. Flower color varies from white with a pink blush through to yellows, orange and reds.
