Another small shrub from Western Australia, Erymophila platycalyx features green to grey foliage and flowers that are predominantly pink and white.

The flowers are a little variable in colour and they appear in summer through to winter depending on climate.
Wonderful for attracting nectar seeking birds and other beneficial insects to the garden, like most Eremophila species they grow require a well drained soil and a sunny position.
Drought tolerant, frost tolerant and requiring little care once established this is a small bushy shrub that will reach around 1 – metres in height with a similar spread. Final size depends on soil and climate.
Being from the dry areas of Western Australia, it grows best in areas that are low in humidity, so good air circulation is essential.
