Any list of top ten trees is subject to a little debate. The trees we have selected all have different qualities, some have great flowers others are tops for screening or are great for shade. These are not trees that are difficult to grow in the right conditions, which makes them favourites in gardens across Australia.

- Crape myrtle Lagerstroemia indica
Crape myrtle tree are available in many flower colours from white through to purple, dwarf cultivars are also available. A top tree because its drought tolerant, handles full sun, has great flowers as well as good autumn colour. will reach 8m in ideal conditions depending on soil, climate and cultivar. - Leyland cypress Cupressocyparis leylandii
This on is tops for privacy or screening trees. Does well in full sun to part shade, and grows at 1m a year in the right conditions. The Leyland Cypress creates a thick screen that will grow to over 20m depending on cultivar and conditions.
- Maidenhair Tree Ginkgo Biloba
A great deciduous tree suited to many situations. The Ginkgo tree has very attractive green foliage and a nice symmetrical growth habit. - Ornamental Pears Pyrus calleryana
