Bamboo Fencing, Panels and Screens
Increasingly popular as a screening or fencing solution bamboo fencing comes in panels and rolls and is an easy and economical screening material for gardens, patios and decking areas.
Many sized panels are available with typical heights of 1.8m and widths of .9m for fixed framed panels. These fixed panels are rigded and generally can be fixed to existing fences or even used as a moveable screen or attached to a gate.
The bamboo should be dried and treated before use to minimise the occurence of rot or insect pests such as borers. Bamboo poles are either used in full rounds or split to provide one rounded surface and one flat. Look for secure attachment to supports for a long lasting product. Usually screwed as well as bound.
For outdoor use consider using a clear decking oil to add protection from moisture, test on a small section first to ensure that adhesion and colour changes are not a problem.
Bamboo Fencing, Panels and Screens are available in a number of forms.
Split bamboo fencing panels.
The bamboo is split down the centre to provide a screen that has the look of natural bamboo from one side only.
Rolls
A quick way to cover an area, the bamboo comes in measured rolls, the bamboo is ‘strung together’ all you need to do is provide the supports.
Bamboo pole fencing
A great screening or fencing solution. Whole poles are used to create a double sided screen. These tend to weigh more than split bamboo. Usually coming in rolls, the bamboo comes as a wire bound roll.
