Dwarf Fruit Trees including Dwarf Citrus Trees for sale in Australia

Dwarf Orange, Apple, Lemon and other dwarf fruit trees available for sale are grown on special dwarfing rootstock such as flying dragon rootstock. Dwarf fruit trees such as dwarf mango produce the same size fruit but on a smaller or ‘dwarf’ fruit tree.

Dwarf fruit trees include dwarf apple trees including dwarf granny smith apple, dwarf nectarine, dwarf meyer lemon trees, dwarf mango trees as well as espalier dwarf fruit trees.

Dwarf Fruit trees are a fantastic addition to the home garden and are especially suited to smaller gardens as well as growing in pots and containers. Although the trees are smaller growing the fruit is normal size.

Selection Pruning and Care of Dwarf Fruit Trees

Available as Dwarf and Semi Dwarf most are grafted onto a dwarfing rootstock. Be sure to check with the grower as to the final size of the tree you are selecting.

Pruning and care of dwarf fruit trees is the same as their full sized relatives, although these smaller growing varieties are well suited to espalier as well.

Flemings Nurseries grow a range of Dwarf Fruit Trees under the Trixzee Name. They include Dwarf Nectarine, Apple, Pear and Peach Trees. Also included are multi graft dwarf fruit trees. Available for sale from good retail nurseries.

Growing dwarf fruit trees in pots or containers is increasingly popular and if you follow a few basic rules you can easily grow a fruit producing tree in a container.

We suggest that you consider a lightweight pot, as with the weight of the potting soil, tree and container the total weight can be considerable.

Position is important, most fruit trees require full sun, many protection from frost.

A quality potting mix is essential, one that retains some moisture and has a good structure, garden soil is not appropriate for containers.

Dwarf Fruit Trees are available for sale from many retail nurseries including those listed below.
