An evergreen shrub that grows well in many areas of Australia Murraya paniculata is also known as the ‘Mock Orange, and Orange ‘jessamine’.

Widely used as a hedging plant it will reach around 3m in height and is very easily pruned to shape.

Good glossy green foliage and fragrant white flowers make it popular with landscapers and gardeners alike.

Better suited to a tall hedge than most Buxus varieties the main flowering period is from spring through summer, however it will flower at other times especially in warmer climates.

Flowers are small, however very fragrant and often followed by small red berries. Small leaf size makes pruning easier.

They are fasy growing, and in warmer climates regarded as vigorous. In colder areas growth rate is slower.
