Hellebores or ‘Winter Rose’ are a useful plant used in the border as a feature or as a ground cover plant in light shade. Wholesalers offer a range of species and an increasing number of cultivars with improved flower form and foliage.
It was only a few years ago that white hellebores were introduced, wholesale growers today offer double flowering whites, slate gray flowers, yellow and many white varieties with pink flecks.
Sold as potted specimens as well as bare rooted for mass planting Hellebores are a valuable plant for shaded landscaping projects.
