Buxus Sempervirens ‘Graham Blandy’ – Wholesale
A columnar boxwood growing to 3m in height Buxus Sempervirens ‘Graham Blandy’ is a slow to medium growing, but pencil shaped cultivar.
Very upright (fastigate) in growth habit and with nice glossy green foliage, the flowers as with most Buxus are fairly insignificant. Growing best in full sun, but coping with part shade, a well drained soil a regular application of fertilizer will keep this wonderful landscaping plant nice and green.
As is is a dense growing shrub with multiple stems Buxus Sempervirens ‘Graham Blandy’ makes an ideal narrow screen, hedge or feature in the garden. A fantastic plant for creating vertical lines in the garden. It seems to maintain foliage lower down on the plant well.
Also useful as topiary plant, as a container plant for a feature near a doorway or arch.
Growth rate, to reach around 2m you are looking at around 8 – 10 years, however this will depend on growing conditions, soil, position, climate and fertilizer. Over time it will reach around 3m in height.
This is a very low care plant, fairly drought tolerant, although a cool root run is desirable. Buxus Sempervirens Graham Blandy can be pruned if required and is excellent for some forms of topiary.
