Timber Trees
Timber Trees and trees for reforestation are essential to the long term viability of Australian Forests of all sorts. Available in Australia mainly as tubestock. They are sold in bulk for planting in revegetation areas or in timber plantations.
While Eucalyptus and Conifer species are the most widely used, other timber trees are being grown, with some Oak and Beech plantations being established.
Trees specifically grown for cabinet timber include many with very close grain.
Trees grown for reforestation are mainly Australian Native trees. Fast growing trees that can establish a frontier planting are often used with slower growing species planted amongst them that will eventually overtake the faster trees and establish a forested area.
