Grass trees for sale from Wholesale Nurseries, include the four most common grass trees available for sale. These are
- Xanthorrhoea johnsonii (from QLD, NSW and ACT)
- Xanthorrea glauca.
- Xanthorrhoea australis.
- Xanthorrhoea pressii a species from Western Australia.
Prices are usually calculated on the amount of mature trunk from the base to where the foliage begins. This ranges from $3 to $4 a cm. Prices will vary accoring to thye number of heads and overall quality of the tree.

Grass trees grow at about 1cm a year, and will take a while to settle in after transplanting.

Grass trees require extremely well drained soil for proper growing conditions and if dry need to be watered every week until established.
Grass trees are fairly easy to grow, however with a growth rate of less tham 1m every 90 years they are very slow to grow as well.
