WHOLESALE Dypsis leptocheilos (Teddy Bear palm or Red Neck Palm) NURSERIES

With a fibrous red crownshaft I can understand why Dypsis leptocheilos is commonly called the ‘Red Neck’ palm.

This is a palm tree that does prefer a warm climate, it will grow as far south as Sydney, however is better suited to warmer climates. Reaching around 12m in height, the ‘Red Neck’ is a distinguishing feature as it contrasts between the silvery trunk and the deep green lush foliage.

Broad spreading fronds and an open airy habit make it a very attractive addition to the tropical to sub tropical garden.

Care

This is a palm tree that does like moist conditions, although good drainage. It also like fertilizer and given these two elements its growth rate will be good.
