Aloe are fast becoming a favourite plant with both commercial landscapers and home gardeners. With such versatility in form and color, over 100s of species of aloe are available. Aloes can make a dramatic statement with spectacular foliage and achitectural lines.
With much development in the hybridisation of aloes over recent years, flower forms are improving as is the foliage. Landsapers need to look outside of the species for the most colorful garden varieties.
Aloe prefer full sun and a well drained soil, most aloes do not tolerate frost, so a large pot in a sunny postion will suit for cooler climates.
Aloes do not require a lot of water except in the main growing period when soil should be kept moist. In the right conditions aloes have fantastic flowers.
