One of the many outstanding Haworthia cooperi varieties, venusta is a must have plant.

This is a plant that grows well indoors, is easy care and with those wonderful crystal windows looks great in just about any container.

Haworthia cooperi var. venusta is a slow growing succulent, clump forming over time.

It features triangular leaves covered with a silvery white indumentum (small fuzzy hairs). The leaves themselves being a clear green / blue, that can reach around 1.5 inches (4 cm)in length.

This is a plant that requires a warm climate, it will not handle frosts and freezes, however as it grows well in low light, it can easily be grown indoors.

How to Grow and Care

  1. Haworthia cooperi var. venusta is a succulent that is easy care, a position on a windowsill or table near a window that does not receive direct sun is ideal.
  2. Watering is the next care aspect, the soil should always be allowed to dry between waterings and the pot should never be allowed to stand in saucers of water.
  3. Fertiliser is best applied when repotting, this encourages the roots to go searching for food. A 12 months slow release fertilise is suitable. A light application in the years between repotting can be beneficial. Over fertilisation should be avoided.
  4. You will need to repot Haworthia cooperi var. venusta every second year. A specialist succulent potting mix is recommended.
