Commonly called the Tupelo, Nyssa sylvatica is a small to medium deciduous tree grown as a shade tree as well as the brilliant red to orange autumn colour.
Used widely as a street tree, on parks and commercial landscaping projects as well as in larger gardens it is originally from North America and found in a wide range of climates.
A good ornamnetal trunk with fissured or textured gret bark and a good natural growth habit make this an attractive plant in many locations.
Reaching to around 12m in height, growyh habit is upright at first forming a spreading crown as the tree matures.
Use it as a single specimen tree, or plant it in an avenue on larger properties,this low maintenance tree is available in range of sizes with some growers offering advanced specimens for immediate impact.
