WHOLESALE GLEDITSIA NURSERIES
Used widely as street trees Gleditsia tricanthos (honey locust) or Gleditsia Golden Honey Locust. Cultivars such as ’emerald cascade’, ‘shademaster’ ruby lace’, and ‘sunburst’ are all widely used. Gledistia elegantissima is a more compact form sometimes used as a standard.
Gleditsia can be a great feature tree, with species growing to range of sizes Gleditsia can be used in gardens both large and small.
Gledistia Varieties
- The weeping Gledistia ‘Emerald Cascade’ is sold as a grafted plant. Usually as a 1.5 – 2m standard. The foliage is strongly pendulous and the plant is widely used in street plantings where it is pruned each year.
- The Purple Gledistia ‘Ruby Lace is a compact plant with deep maroon to purple foliage. Reaching around 5m in height. A good small tree.
