Also useful as a contrast plant at the rear of the garden border where the dark foliage acts as a foil for lighter foliaged shrubs. Small pink flowers appear on bare branches in spring, followed by the deep purple foliage.Reaching a height of around 5 – 10 m with a spread of around 3m this is a very useful landscaping tree for smaller spaces.

Useful for the attractive deep red foliage with the added attraction of pink flushed white flowers in spring. A very tough tree for difficult situations. Minimum care is required once established.
