What does Anemone x hybrida mean ?
- This is a hybrid between Anemone hupehensis var. japonica and Anemone vitifolia.
- This is a little misleading as all of this relates back to Eriocapitella japonica which is originally from Vietnam, Taiwan and also China. Eriocapitella hupehensis is from China. Eriocapitella vitifolia is from Asia as well.
- However it is the Japanese that have done much of the hybridisation… So Japanese Anemones or Windflowers.
