WHOLESALE AGAVE ATTENUATA NURSERIES
Agave Attenuata is used widely in Landscaping. Large rosettes and flowering from late spring to summer Agave attenuata produces a tall flower spike with green to yellow flowers.
Spectacular when in flower, and with good architectural foliage year round, Agave attenuata can be used as a feature or in mass planting in commercial landscaping applications.
Flower spikes may take 8 – 12 years to form. The parent plant will die after this, however offsets will have formed to fill any void in the landscape.
Wholesaler offer plants from smaller types in 100mm pots to large specimens. Also known as the ‘Fox – tail Agave’.
Care and Maintenance
Well suited to growing in large containers Agave Attenuata also looks great when grown in groups or rows. Grow in full sun to part shade and like most Agaves a free draining soil is important.
Some water during dry periods will keep Agave Attenuata looking great through summer months. In general no additional water is required during other times of the year.
Landscapers and gardeners should wear protective gloves to prevent skin irritation from the sap. Generally little to no maintenance is required except removal of offsets if desired. A slow release general purpose fertilizer every 6 months is usually adequate.
For mass planting space at 1m to 1.5m depending on the situation.
