Care and growing conditions
Like many Syzygium cultivars, Syzygium cascade can easily be pruned to maintain shape, in fact pruning is advisable from an early age if you wish to create a denser screen. Pruning time is best just after the flowers and fruit have finnished
Best grown in full sun to part shade, for a hedge plant at a distance of 1m apart or closer. A well drained humus rich soil is best. Root system is regarded as non-invasive.
Can also be grown in pots or containers. Fertilize with a low phosphate native plant fertiliser in spring. As with most Lillypilly cultivars, Syzygium cascade will have a denser growth habit in full sun than in shade.
