Hardenbergia violacea is a creeping ground cover plant or rambling climber used widely in landscaping. Available in both purple and white flowering forms it is well suited to mass planting where it will quickly form a dense mound.
Growing well in full sun to part shade, Hardenbergia is is a hardy drought tolerant plant available from wholesale growers in sizes from tube stock to 140mm and 200mm pots.
Excellent for planting near the edge of retaining walls, can be trained to grow on trellis and with pruning can also be grown in larger hanging baskets.
A slow release native plant fertilizer applied when planting is usually sufficient to give the plant a good start. Low maintenance and easy to prune back in commercial landscaping situations.
