Leucocoryne or ‘Glory of the Sun’ are native to Chile and are suitable to warm climates. Easy to grow they are well suited to the rock garden.

Most varieties have bi coloured flowers and in our climate are easy care. Most will reach around .5 m in height and these are sold as dormant bulbs. They are suited to growing in containers, as long as you have that sunny position.
Species include Leucocoryne andes, vittata and purpurea. The interesting Leucocoryne ixiodes alba is a species with white flowers.
