Japanese Wind Flowers (anemones)
Anemone japonica: Japanese wind flower. An ideal plant for a woodland garden. Tolerates shade and naturalises easily.
Flowers on the 120cm appear late summer and continue well into autumn.

Bletilla striata


“Chinese Ground Orchid”.

A hardy ground orchid. Blooms in Spring. Has several deep mauve pink flowers with mottled throats on each stem. Takes a while to settle in but once it gets going it is well worth the space. 20cm.

Double Primrose
Another hardy group of perennials. Primrose do best in a partly shaded position. The flowers resemble a miniature rose.
Double primroses make a magnificent border plants, and look great tucked into a rockery.

Hepatica *New*
Native of North Eastern America. These delightful endangered woodland plants are related to the ranunculus family.
The leaf has three pointed lobes and grows to 10cm. The anemone-like flowers are carried on 25cm hairy stems.
Their natural environment is rich moist woods.

Prairie mallow (Sidalcea)
Sidalcea is a very hardy clumping perennial with deep green leaves. Growing to 80cm in height.
It is incredibly wind resistant and withstands most soil types.
Sidalcea makes a striking border plant and an excellent cut flower.
