Red Hot Pokers (Kniphofia)
The hardy poker family more commonly known as Red Hot Pokers, enjoy a sunny position in the garden. The blooms last for weeks, and make a fantastic cut flower. Kniphofia origionate in South Africa, and tollerate our hot dry summers very well.


Kniphofia aureus: Deep green foliage, large yellow flower spikes in late autumn.

Grey green foliage. Salmon flowers passing to cream.

Specie Iris





Iris siberica: Native of Russia. This very showy iris has purple
