 Ginger Lily and related specie
  Ideal in semi shaded corners. The flowers are delightfully fragrant and carried on stems upwards to 150 cm.

Alpina caerulea: (Native Ginger) Lovely glossy green leaves. A large  cluster of white flowers born most of the year in warmer climates. Stunning  mid blue berries follow the flowers apparently  hey are edible tasting like  lemon. Keep protected from wind and frost.

Alpina mutica: (Shell Ginger) Perennial herb to 80cm with leaves to 40cm  long. The white flowers have a yellow lip the inside of which is marked reddish brown.
