Hymenocallis
Often referred to as “The sacred lily of the Incas”. These unusual bulbs
thrive in free loose soil.




Hymenocallis festalis: This variety has three or four large white flowers with gold tipped anthers on each stem. 80cm.

Tigridia pavonia
“Jockey’s caps”
Members of the Iris family. The bulbs produce dazzling flowers in early to mid Summer. Although the flowers are short lived, each 50cm stem produces a succession of blooms over several weeks. Each bloom can be up to 13cm (5”) across. The flower center is heavily spotted and surrounded by three wide pointed petals. Mixed colours: Contains red, pink and yellow.

Rhodohypoxis
This delightful little bulb is a genus from South Africa. It does well in a peaty acid soil. An excellent rockery plant which grows to about 10cm with grass like foliage. Copious frangipani like flowers from Mid Spring. Ideal for a small pot or bowl.
