Growing dwarf fruit trees in pots or containers is increasingly popular and if you follow a few basic rules you can easily grow a fruit producing tree in a container. We suggest that you consider a lightweight pot, as with the weight of the potting soil, tree and container the total weight can be considerable. Position is important, most fruit trees require full sun, many protection from frost. A quality potting mix is essential, one that retains some moisture and has a good structure, garden soil is not appropriate for containers. |
